About the Program

The job will require working at the firm’s state of the art 3D printing Lab, located at their headquarters in San Juan, PR.

3D printing remains a complex and intimidating process, and our goal at the AD&V 3D printing Design Lab is to bring this exciting technology to a broad variety of users in the most accessible, friendly, and empowering way possible.

As an Intern, and a member of the AD&V DesignLab Team, you will work in collaboration with AD&V®’s 3D Lab Specialist in providing support for 3D printing operations such as assisting in the creation of true-to-scale models, 3D printing, 3D scanning, and laser cutting requests. Your role will help AD&V® curate, generate and organize 3D models that highlight the firm’s design projects.

Eligibility

You must be an active University undergrad student with at least one semester of architecture education under your belt.

We are also looking for team players with a positive attitude that are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to take on any challenge, big or small.

The ideal candidate should be excited about working in a laboratory environment, has good hands-on skills, and demonstrates attention to detail.

The program length of the internship is flexible with a minimum of one month.

Required Skills

  • Hand drafting

  • Creative and Innovative mindset

  • Willing to learn and expand their knowledge

  • Mechanical and technical aptitude

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Cad Knowledge - basic required

  • Experience with 3D modeling, 3D printing, and laser cutting

  • Ability to work in an open office, collaborative teamwork environment
